Insiders and Congress Are Both Buying

When an executive is buying their own stock AND a member of Congress just disclosed a buy in the same name, that’s two informed groups pointing the same direction. It’s not advice, and both signals lag disclosure — but it’s the convergence nobody else tracks in one place.

What this screen looks for

  • At least one insider buy in the last 30 days
  • A member of Congress bought within the last 90 days (US only)

Limits

Not investment advice — this is a pattern-match over public disclosures, not a recommendation. Every signal here already lags its disclosure deadline: SEC Form 4 filings can post up to two business days after an insider trade, Congress has up to 45 days under the STOCK Act, and 13F fund holdings are reported up to 45 days after quarter-end. By the time a stock shows up on this list, the trade or position is already public and may already be priced in.

Insider-filing matches are US-heavy today: Canadian insider data (SEDI) is still backfilling, so this list may skew toward US tickers until that catches up.
